Indigo and Ink

Indigo and Ink is a small studio dedicated to the art of cyanotype, a 19th-century photographic process that blends scientific curiosity with creative expression. Each piece begins with hand-coated paper, light-sensitive chemistry, and elements drawn from both nature and photography before being exposed to sunlight. The process is simple, yet every exposure develops differently, resulting in prints that are always one of a kind.

Rooted in a background of design and a lifelong pull toward making, creating, and experimenting, the work centers on composition, balance, and the interplay between structure and unpredictability. The collection includes postcards, note cards, and small prints that pair minimal design with the organic variability of the cyanotype process. Each piece is handmade, intentional, and uniquely shaped by light, chemistry, and time ~ created to be shared, gifted, or kept as a quiet reminder of the impact of something thoughtfully made.
